Kyle Berges and Brett Kuskie didn’t start out on Wall Street. They started in the dirt.
As 5th-generation farmers, avid hunters, and descendants of a family that has proudly served in the military in every conflict since World War I, Kyle and Brett were raised on the values of the American Midwest: relentless hard work, resilience, and the understanding that nothing is handed to you.
They come from a lineage of survivors—great-grandparents who survived the 1929 farm foreclosures, grandmothers who canned 2,000 jars of food a year to keep the family fed, and fathers who were driving combines and bagging seed wheat by the time they were 11 years old.
They know exactly what it takes to earn a dollar, which is why they are so passionate about helping everyday people protect and grow theirs.
But alongside that blue-collar grit was a lifelong, prodigy-level fascination with how complex systems work. Brett taught himself to code at age 11 to build his own video games. Kyle began his investing journey at age 8 by opening a Certificate of Deposit, bought his first mutual fund by age 11, and demonstrated extraordinary early leadership and discipline by earning his Eagle Scout rank at just 14 years old.
As professionals managing their own careers, families, and investments, Kyle and Brett realized a frustrating truth: the financial industry is designed to make the average person feel inadequate. It is an industry built on gatekeeping, where crucial data is hidden behind complicated jargon and a condescending "just trust the experts" mentality.
They decided to fix it. They combined their Midwest grit, Brett’s elite, government-grade software architecture, and Kyle’s forensic accounting and data visualization skills to build The Four Horsemen Services (TFHS). Their goal was simple: strip away the smoke and mirrors of finance and give everyday people the exact same actionable business intelligence used by the pros.

Originally trained in Biology Pre-Med before mastering accounting and corporate finance, Kyle built his career on his unique ability to diagnose and dissect complex systems. With over a decade of experience across the Oil & Gas, Telecom, and SaaS industries, Kyle specializes in mining SEC filings, forecasting future financial health, and assessing risks for C-suite executives. He knows exactly how to separate the true financial signal from the Wall Street noise.

Brett Kuskie
A Software Engineer with over 18 years of specialized experience in secure communications, cryptography, network processing, and operating system design. His technical expertise has been trusted at the highest levels, including extensive work for the Federal government that has deployed him to execute critical technical operations all over the globe—on every continent except Antarctica. Fluent in C, C++, Python, and Bash, Brett builds the ironclad, lightning-fast, and secure technical infrastructure that powers TFHS.
